Tour the Suisse is over

Miguel Angel Lopez of Astana has won the Tour de Suisse. The last two stages were hard with an individual time trial on Saturday and a hard stage on Sunday. Luckily the organization shortened the stage because of the bad weather.

“Yesterday in the time trial it didn’t go well for me, but honestly, when I started and felt that the legs were not so good, I just took it a little bit easy. The stage today was shortened by the organization and that was a good decision.”

“We started from La Punt and went via the Fluelapass to Davos. Our goal was to keep the points jersey of Maximilian Ariel Richeze and he did it. So great job. On the Fluelapass it went hard. On the top it was raining and snowing and it was 0 degrees.”

“I took time on the top of the climb to put on the extra clothes and went to the finish”, said Styby, who finished 81th in the final classification.
“My next race will be the national championship. I’m not yet sure if I also will start in the time trial. I’ll deside tomorrow.”
