Zdenek started in the Tour of Algarve in Portugal. Our favorite and his team helped their sprinter Fernando Gaviria to the first stage win. “Fernando has two chances to win a stage here, and he already won the first one. Great, because we worked hard for it.”
“We started with a great team here. Not only Fernando is our leader, also Daniel Martin can do a good job. He can go for the two mountain stages and if he does a good time trial, a good position at the general classification is possible for him.”
And what about Styby his ambitions here? “The stages are not really my thing. But we’ll see. It’s certainly a good preparation for the next couple of weeks, when I want to be good. I’ve also worked hard for that in Mallorca with some training blocks the last weeks.”
